The 4 Agreements:
Yoga series
Join yoga teacher Jean Laing for a hybrid, 4-part moderate yoga series.
This new 4-week series brings the wisdom of Don Miquel Ruiz to the yoga mat to foster personal freedom, self-awareness and mindfulness.
Each session will focus on one agreement and how these ideas apply to yoga poses and everyday life:
-
Be impeccable with your word
-
Do not take things personally
-
Make no assumptions
-
Do your best
Week 3:
Don't make assumptions
Strive to find clarity rather than assuming you know the "right" look of a pose. Reduce mental chatter and anxiety.
Week 4:
Always do your best
Your "best" changes daily. Allow effort and growth without self-judgment or perfectionism.
This workshop series will be held in Open Spirit's Edwards Hall (39 Edwards Street in Framingham) on April 16, 23, 30 and May 7 from 6-7pm. To participate via Zoom, please our Classes page for link.
Mats and props are available in Edwards Hall for your use but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
The cost is $80 for the series or $20 per session if registered in advance. $25 for drop-ins. To register: click here.

Monthly Poetry Writing Workshop
What stirs in us when we reach for a poem, whether sitting down to write or read the work of a favorite poet? Why do poems stay with us and continue to inform our lives?
In this workshop, we’ll approach poetry as a vehicle for living more fully in the present and deepening our humanity. Each month we’ll focus on an element of craft in the context of a particular theme to generate new work.
This class is for anyone interested in poetry as a spiritual practice and no previous writing experience is required to enjoy the pleasures of creative expression.
Come join us and be inspired!
This class will be held in Edwards Hall.
Suggested donation of $20.
