"I have been a seeker and I still am, but I stopped asking the books and the stars. I started listening to the teaching of my soul.” - Rumi

Ever since I can remember I have been a seeker, reading and writing voraciously, taking courses, attending workshops, lectures, and even lecturing, myself. I have been exploring the BIG questions and have been intrigued with philosophy, since my undergraduate years at Framingham State. I have an extensive library of books concerning matters of the spirit, and, I have utilized the voices of “the experts,” quoting them, as I quote Rumi above.

Open Spirit: A Place of Hope, Health & Harmony is providing me with a sacred space inhabited by like seekers. As I more deeply listen to the voices shared in community by people of all faith traditions, I listen “to the teaching of my soul.” My spirit has indeed, “opened,” to new possibilities as a result of these community connections. We share books in community, and the workshops and classes I attend at Open Spirit are far different than I experience in self- study, on college campuses, and/ or in study with people of my own faith, exclusively.

Through the modeling of Open Spirit meditation and yoga teachers, I am cultivating a deeper sense of listening to my body, leading with my heart, and dissolving the unnecessary mind chatter which distracts me from fully engaging with life.

In our ever-changing world, which presents many challenges, Open Spirit provides a safe haven for ALL. I am so grateful to be a part of the Open Spirit Community and to have the opportunity to play my small part in the organic evolution of something uniquely BIG and spacious.
