Open Spirit and the Framingham Interfaith Clergy Association invite you to attend our monthly Interfaith Book Club. Our mission is to foster greater understanding and respect among people of all faiths and traditions. Reading the book is not a requirement to join the discussion.

Guided Meditation with the Masters
Mondays at 7:30pm in Sue Dickerman Hall
Come and start your week off right! In this series we'll practice meditations described by leading current masters. Comfortable seating on chairs or cushions.
Classes run in 7-week sessions, with preregistration and the option to pay for the session via PayPal. You can join a 7-week session at any time and pay the prorated amount (payment by cash or check at class only.) Led by Katherine McClean.

Buddhist Meditation
Second and Fourth Tuesdays of the month from 7:00-8:00pm in Sue Dickerman Hall
Join us for an hour of meditation, with guidance and inspiration offered by Bhante Pannasiri from New England Buddhist Vihara.

Venerable Debokkawe Pannasiri was born in Angunukolapelassa in Hambanthota, Sri Lanka. He was ordained as a Buddhist monk on March 11th 1998 and received his higher ordination in 2005. He received his Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Buddhism and Buddhist Philosophy in 2011 and completed his Masters of Arts degree (M.A) in Buddhist Philosophy in 2013. He worked as a religious lecturer/counselor at the National Drug Prevention Operation Unit at the Ministry of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs. Since arriving at NEBV & MC in Grafton, MA, he has been working as a resident monk, conducting religious activities at the center.

Early Morning Qi-Gong/Tai Chi

Join us to begin the day as the wise people of ancient China have done for centuries: stretching, breathing, increasing Qi (chi)(energy), unblocking and balancing Qi, and connecting mind, body and spirit always. Led by Kathleen Sakovitz.

Cancer Support Group
1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month for caregiver support
2nd and 4th thursdays for those diagnosed. 6:00-8:00pm
This cancer support group is for women and men recently diagnosed or actively in treatment. On alternate weeks for those who provide care. This professionally facilitated, open support group provides a safe space to meet others facing similar challenges, find comfort, and learn new ways to cope.

Strength Without a Gym

Do you want to build muscle but don't want to go to the gym? Do you enjoy a light-hearted groups with lots of laughter? Then our new "Strength Without a Gym" yoga class is for you!

Whatever your age or physical ability and whether or not you've ever done yoga, this class will offer you an opportunity to build on your strengths as you build strength!

This class is taught by Donna Warren, long-time Open Spirit yoga teacher and unoffical comedian.

Veteran's Yoga

A trauma-sensitive yoga class for veterans, those on active duty and their families. The yoga will be gentle but invigorating, designed to help you let go of the stress of the day and relax!

Gentle Yoga for Body, Mind & Spirit
Tuesdays at 10:00am in Edwards Hall​
This gentle, restorative yoga class often centers on a poem or reflection. Come experience gentle stretch, deep relaxation and restoration of body and spirit. This class is for all ages and abilities; postures can be adapted for chair yoga.

Hatha Yoga
Tuesdays at 5:30pm in Sue Dickerman Hall
This class is for beginners and intermediate students. Come rejunvenate yourself with yoga! Learn and practice the art of hatha yoga in a flowing style. Ours will be a heart-based practice using a creative series of postures, breathing techniques and meditations. Our bodies will strengthen and stretch, our minds will be invited to rest, and our practice will be an experiential gateway to the soul.

Kripalu Yoga
Thursdays at 6:00pm in Edwards Hall
Students with some yoga experience and who know how to listen to their bodies throughout class are welcome to expand their yoga practice with this seven-week series. Longer holding, inversions and meditations will be part of these classes.

Chair/Mat Yoga
Saturdays at 9:00am in Edwards Hall
You are welcome to join Chair / Mat Yoga whether you are able-bodied and cautious, or have conditions that limit your mobility and flexibility. Students in wheelchairs are welcome. All the healthy benefits of yoga are available in a class that is modified for conditions like pain, arthritis, osteoporosis, replaced joints, metabolic syndrome, COPD, cancer, dizziness, etc. Join us if you want to be stronger, reduce stress and feel balanced. This class combines slow movement, inward focus and a little humor.
