Weekend of Spirit: Circles of Healing: Our Selves, Our Communities, Our World

Saturday, All Day -- 10/20/17

Save the date to join us for our 5th Annual Weekend of Spirit – October 20th and 21st

Join Open Spirit for our 5th Annual Weekend of Spirit!

Through shared meals, music, conversation, art projects and experiential workshops, we will delve into our theme: “Circles of Healing: Our Selves, Our Communities, Our World.” We will explore the ways those circles emanate and intersect.

How does our personal healing empower us to be part of healing in our world?  How does the healing of community relationships lead to transformation of our individual lives? what is the connection between healthy communities, peace in our world, and our personal well-being? Come explore these and other questions in a relaxed and relaxing environment.

This mini-retreat takes lace right at Open Spirit, on the campus of Edwards Church at 39 Edwards Street in Framingham.

We want all to be able to participate so it is very affordable – with an early bird registration (due October 5th) of $25 for the entire event. You can come for the whole event or just be part of it.

Weekend of Spirit begins on Friday evening at 6pm with a Shabbat supper that is welcoming to people from all spiritual perspectives.

On Saturday morning, the program opens with a keynote presentation: three healers and activists sharing their perspectives on these circles of healing. Participants can then choose among six experiential workshops.

An extended lunch break will include opportunities to make prayer bracelets and recycled shopping bags and play the Race Amity Game. The break will also include a chance to receive a short “healing spa” treatment, such as reiki or sound healing.

Afternoon workshops include laughter yoga, drumming, Chinese healing, yoga, and art.
